Anxiety and Depression

You're experiencing...
anxiety and/or depression symptoms. This could include: depressed mood, irritability, low motivation, lack of interest in activities, negative and/or anxious thoughts, difficulty sleeping, trouble relaxing, panic attacks. You've been feeling like this for a while and think it would be a good idea to get some help. You may or may not be able to identify why these symptoms showed up.
You feel...
like your thoughts and behaviors are working against you. You have racing, anxious, worst-case-scenario thoughts you can't seem to turn off. You might have negative beliefs about yourself as well. You know some things that would probably help you like socializing, exercising, and sticking to a routine, but it feels overwhelming to get started. You want relief but aren't sure where to start.

Let's work together
Together we'll identify patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to your anxiety and/or depression symptoms. I'll provide practical tools you can use to challenge unhelpful thoughts and change behaviors that are keeping you stuck. If past trauma is contributing to your anxiety and/or depression symptoms, we'll consider processing that trauma to help reduce your symptoms.
Many of the tools I like to use come from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an evidence-based therapy based on the theory that you can improve how you're feeling by changing your thoughts and behaviors. You can learn more about CBT here.
My approach to treating anxiety and depression does involve regular therapy homework. This includes viewing videos, listening to podcasts, reading articles, completing worksheets, and experimenting with different ways of thinking, communicating, and behaving between sessions.
